TimeOut With The SportsDr. Podcast

May 15, 2023

Parents are like superheroes. They may not have superpowers, but they always sacrifice their happiness and comfort for the sake of their children. Their selflessness allows them to put their children's needs ahead of their own and do whatever it takes to keep them secure and happy.

Consequently, achieving progress in different aspects of their lives allows them to fulfill their heart's desire for their family. However, parents are often faced with tough decision-making wherein they become torn between their love for their family and the desire to pursue their passions.

Moving to a new location can be a catalyst for personal growth and self-discovery. Hence, for a father to come up with such a decision can be challenging since he has to consider the impact of his every move on his children and spouse. Thus, parents are the perfect embodiment of love, resilience, and sacrifice. And that the selfless sacrifices they made were driven by their genuine understanding that their choices could shape the lives of their loved ones and demonstrate the depths of their love and commitment to their family. Thus, parental love is the most selfless love there is.

In this special episode, Dr. Derrick Burgess will have a meaningful conversation with his eldest child, Suzie Burgess. We will get an interesting perspective of his life as a father, physician, and podcaster from his child's eyes. Be encouraged by how Suzie professes her thoughts about the things that came into her young mind along with their relocation and how much sacrifice it takes for Dr. Burgess to achieve his current success.
